The aim of Perspective is to be a total information resource that is easy to use for individuals, and a productive cost-effective information-sharing environment for organisations.

Using industry standards, Perspective sits as comfortably on corporate networks as it does on individual PC's and laptops. Information is updated via a daily internet connection or, for those requiring it, on a less frequent basis using CD's. The private Pendragon website, integrated within the service, provides daily news, industry communiqués and edited web information. Additionally there is access to news abstracts, magazine articles, conference papers, official and semi-official reports, forms and statistics as well as a growing amount of international and niche materials such as those needed for local government pensions.

All the documents on the system - including those from the Inland Revenue, DSS and the Treasury - are fully annotated, with cross-links available via a single mouse click. Users can bookmark favourite documents and add notes, (which can be private or shared), and can create links from other key documents into Perspective.

Perspective is designed to enable the user to access and work with information, in the most appropriate and easy way. Simple or complex searches can be carried out and results can be readily browsed, viewed in multi-window form or stored.
